The 2/4 measure has two parts. The figure that lasts a part is the crotchet. The figure that lasts the whole measure is the minim.

El compás de 2/4 tiene dos partes. La figura que dura una parte es la negra. La figura que dura todo el compás es la blanca.

EXAMPLE

The 3/4 measure has three parts. The figure that lasts a part is the crotchet. The figure that lasts the whole measure is the minim with dot.

El compás de 3/4 tiene tres partes. La figura que dura una parte es la negra. La figura que dura todo el compás es la blanca con puntillo.
